January 26, 2023:
Effective Thursday, January 26th 2023, the Board of Directors delayed the implementation of their 2019 parking policy regarding no on-grounds parking until the 26th of July 2023.
January 3, 2023:
In allowance for more notice to our tenants, renters, and public, the 20th DAA has delayed the implementation to prohibit the use of motor vehicles inside the fairgrounds with the exception of approved state vehicles and emergency vehicles until February 1, 2023. Thank you for your understanding.
December 28, 2022:
Based on some comments we’ve received we wanted to provide a bit more clarity as to the background of our recent parking policy change.
We (the Board, the Staff) weighed our current parking situation and along with the added guidance from the State Fire Marshall and CDFA, we re-evaluated our current parking requirements to be in line with other Fairgrounds to ensure the safety of all those who visit.
We do not make these policy changes lightly. We’ve been discussing this move for a couple of years at our Publicly Open Board Meetings. Like other businesses, we must continue to reshape, re-evaluate and sometimes alter how we operate to ensure that we are here for future generations.
