Showcase your talent in categories like fine arts, photography, clothing and textiles, jewelry, baked or preserved foods, quilts, woodworking, and many more – even homemade wine.
Do you love gardening? Consider entering one of our horticulture or floriculture competitions. From tomatoes to begonias, the Gold Country Fair awards cash prizes for the best fruits, vegetables and flowers. Your green thumb might earn you a blue ribbon!
Competitive exhibits are at the heart of the Gold Country Fair providing the opportunity for community members to showcase their own talents and gifts. The theme for the 2017 fair is “Blue Jeans and Country Dreams” and celebrates the many opportunities Placer County offers residents and visitors. In 2012, Gold Country Fair was represented by more than 2,500 entries.
From beef and goats, to sheep and swine, chicken, rabbits, turkeys and more, the Gold Country Fair livestock events have a wide variety of competitions for junior competitors.
