Family Watermelon Eating Contest 2:30 pm on at the Food Court Stage
*Bring six 3"X3" brownies or 6 jumbo or regular cupcakes made from scratch. (Kids 12 and under can start with a box mix). The Brownie and cupcake tasting contests are judged both on taste, texture, appearance, and uniquness. Bring your TYPED recipe-no handwritten recipes please. Entry forms available at the contest. Entries accepted between 11 a.m. and Noon, Saturday and Sunday at the Food Court Stage. $25 1st place adults & kids + ribbons. | |

Friday, September 7th, has been designated Special Persons Day at the Gold Country Fair. This annual event was created by the Fair Board of Directors to offer an opportunity for people with special needs to see the Fair without dealing with large crowds that are common during regular Fair hours.
