| | Just 32 miles from Sacramento, in the heart of the Mother Lode, lies Auburn. Nestled in these gentle rolling hills, the grounds of the Gold Country Fair offers you a historical yet modern setting for your next gathering. The facilities at the Gold Country Fair are varied and represent one of the biggest values in Placer County. There are four buildings ranging from 1,300 sq. ft. to 12,000 sq. ft. available for trade shows, collector's shows, banquets, dances, wedding receptions, club meetings, ect. Three of these buildings are equipped with kitchen facilities and three with a stage and sound system.
Eight different outdoor areas can accomodate everything from large concerts to quiet picnics. McCann Stadium is a great place to hold almost any outdoor event, horse or livestock show. There are 94 livestock stalls and 30 horse stalls and a horse arena. You will find the main lawn area meets your needs for religious events, concerts, trade shows, and wedding receptions.
Farrell Wrenn Park is a beautiful area for wedding receptions, dances, and picnics. Gold Country Court offers trailer groups a unique setting. Parking lots are available for flea markets and car rallies. Other unique features of the Gold Country Fairgrounds are the Forestry Gazebo and Nature Walk, along with the Auburn Historical Museum where you can actually pan for gold.
