| | The management of the Gold Country Fair reserves the right to amend, add to and interpret the following regulations and to finally settle and determine all questions and differences with respect thereto, arising out of, connected with or incident to the use of Fair property.
It is the Renter's responsibility to be knowledgeable of the regulations which are listed herein. Rento\ers shall insure that all his/her employees, guests, and representatives are made aware of, and comply with, these rules and regulations.
CANCELLATION POLICY
The Fair will cancel any event if the terms and payment requirements of the contract have not been met. Fair Management has the right to end an event if deemed necessary for purposes of public safety or due to extensive destruction of property.
Catastrophe – Either party may terminate or suspend its obligations under the contract if such obligations are delayed, prevented or rendered impractical by any of the following incidents to the extent such incident is beyond the reasonable control of the party whose performance is prevented or rendered impractical: Fire, flood, riot, earthquake, civil commotion, insurrection, Act of God, labor disputes, strikes, war, shortage or loss of utilities, any law, ordinance, rule or regulation which becomes effective after the date of the execution of the contract.
CHECK POLICY
Payments made within fourteen (14) days prior to an event will only be accepted in cash, cashiers check or money order. A minimum charge of $20.00, maximum up to the full extent of the law, will be charged for returned checks.
ALCOHOL
Anyone planning to sell alcoholic beverages (direct sales, script, or included in admission fee/donation) MUST obtain a valid liquor license from the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC), 3321 Power Inn Road, Suite 230, Sacramento, CA 95826. In addition, liquor liability insurance must be furnished in conjunction with valid liquor license. Liquor letter is available in the Fair Administrative Office upon proof of liquor liability insurance.
SECURITY
Renter is responsible for making arrangements and paying for security, when required by contract. Security must be pre-approved by Fair Management, licensed, and officers on grounds must be uniformed and easily identifiable. Renter is responsible for the actions of people on the fairgrounds due to renter's event.
FACILITY REQUIREMENTS
Renter MUST contact the Association at least one week prior to event to discuss details such as requirements of tables, chairs, etc. All requirements are limited to ability of the Fair to provide the equipment requested. SIERRA BUILDING: ALL ENTRY DOORS MUST REMAIN UNLOCKED DURING BUILDING OCCUPANCY.

| | Minimum charge is ½ hour. Any extraordinary set-up requirements, clean-up, repair, and changes in original requested set-up will be billed to renter at current rate. Labor and equipment rates are subject to change. DUE TO LIABILITY CONSIDERATIONS, FAIR TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT (I.E. LADDERS, ETC.) ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR USE BY RENTER.
The cost of night cleaning of a building for a back-to-back rental will be charged to the renting party that creates the need. Our standard procedure is to clean during normal work hours on the next regular workday. It takes 4 to 8 hours, depending on the building and type of event, to do a complete clean-up. We will charge a flat $160.00 fee for this activity.
PARKING
The Sacramento Street Parking Lot and the High/Pleasant Street Parking Lot are available for event parking. Parking fees are subject to change. For applicable/current rates, please contact Fair Office staff. The High/Pleasant Street Parking Lot may be locked and unavailable due to weather conditions.
FACILITY CLEAN-UP
All trash is to be put in receptacles and disposed of properly; kitchen & bar to be returned as received; hall to be swept, spot mopped as necessary; tables and chairs neatly returned to storage. Renters are responsible for all actions as a result of Renter’s event held on grounds. Certain events with excessive refuse (seafood dinners, etc.) may be required to provide trash dumpsters, charged at prevailing rates. All lights, heaters/coolers, and appliances must be turned off at conclusion of event.
ADVERTISING/DECORATIVE MATERIALS
Wire cables are affixed to the perimeter walls of each building to hang decorative and other like materials. DO NOT use nails, staples, tape, etc., on wall surfaces. Thumbtacks or pins, if removed, are allowed. No substances or items capable of creating permanent damage and/or stains, or cleaning difficulties (confetti, etc.) may be used. Tables must be covered. Failure to comply with the above provisions may result in damage charges being levied.
Distribution of “flyers”, bumper stickers, etc. on the fairgrounds is strictly prohibited.
UTILITIES
A utility fee may be charged for excessive use of utilities.
RENTAL DAY
Maximum Facility Rental Day: 8:00 am – 2:00 am.
BUILDING KEYS
There will be a $25.00 charge for each key not returned within three (3) days after the end of your event. This charge may be withheld from your security deposit.
